You've never seen a Britosterope like this!
Apply a nice bit of creativity to a product born for the industrial market and here's a fence that adds a new peculiar look to the well established Nuova Defim Orsogril Britosterope quality.
The "Made in Holland" idea, was carried out by a firm called DOK who decided that grating panels were creative enough for not just a fence, but to build up an architectural element able to enhance a working site.
The fence has been installed in 3402 South Glebe Road, Arlington, Virginia, USA around a large water pollution control plant and at the same time running along a very busy bike path. Also the Public Authority that commissioned the work, asked for an installation both functional and visually appealing.
The project uniqueness and its realization were made possible by the synergy between DOK and Nuova Defim Orsogril in order to provide fully customized panels to size.
All the plastic widgets on the grating represent an abstraction of the purifier function of bacteria cleaning up waste water. In particular, the blue wind-spoons standing, slightly move when the wind blows, to simulate the waiving water surface.
The result, which required several months of work, is a right mix that shows how Britosterope and in general all the grating panels from Nuova Defim Orsogril, are versatile elements servicing the architectural world.
